AP’ government decision to introduce reduced movie ticket prices has left Tollywood in dire straits. With the directive of the government, the distributors or producers cannot hike the tickets price for their movies. In this case some movies might not even recover half of their investment even if the movie is a huge hit. With biggies like Radhe Shyam, Bheemla Nayak, Pushpa, and others are gearing up for the grand release, the ticket pricing has led to a major upheaval among Telugu film distributors.
Even at this juncture, most of the production houses are silent. But it was megastar Chiranjeevi who requested the government and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to reconsider the decision. Recently a print media stated that Trivikram Srinivas has hit back at the Jagan government over regulating ticket prices.
Meanwhile, a tweet issued by the production house clarifying that Trivikram Srinivas did not make any comment on YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, AP government and ticket price issue. The production house confirmed that Trivikram Srinivas did not say such things and that he doesn’t have any social media presence
