On Wednesday, Telangana High Court gave its green signal to enhance the movie ticket rates for the new movies- SS Rajamouli’ RRR, Pawan Kalyan starrer Bheema Nayak, Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa, Balakrishna’ Akhanda and Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam. The court order will be applicable to theaters that had made applications for a rate-hike to the police and the state government.
Justice B Vijaysen Reddy of Telangana High Court passed an interim direction permitting film theatres to enhance ticket prices. According to the latest report, the owners of some film theatres approached the High court seeking the intervention for finalization of their applications made to authorities seeking hike in the ticket prices. They demanded permission for 50 percent hike in ticket prices of all categories. And the court responded in favor of them.
This is a big relief for the producers of RRR, Akhanda, Radhe Shyam, Bheemla Nayak and Pushpa: The Rise.
The bigwig from the Telugu film industry also appealed to the Andhra Pradesh government for hiking the ticket price but they are against of it.
On the otherside, Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu’ Srinu Akhanda has hit the theaters today on 2nd December. RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan is arriving at the theaters on 7th January whereas Pushpa is releasing on 17th December.
